They are called Spirit Stones and you can find them sitting on a high hill in the middle of the Flint Hills of Kansas. A group of people created this Flint Hills "Stonehenge" in 2012 as part of the Walk in Peace Ranch. The Walk in Peach Ranch has become a retreat where people hang out and enjoy the beauty of the Kansas Flint Hills.
Since the Spirit Stones are on private property I took this long distance photograph from the county road, and then created this painting. Ironically, I took this photo two days after the Summer Solstice. My first impression was that the stones represented "Spirit Dancers".
