On a recent trip to visit with my wife's family I couldn't help but admire her sister's jugs, more specifically, her collection of earthenware jugs. I couldn't resist pulling a few of them together and taking a few photos. Their earthy color, reminded me of the Natura Morta paintings by Giorgio Morandi. With Giorgio in mind, I made this small painting, 12X12 oil in handmade canvas board.
